Spring is calling, and KNOX is ready to answer with Spring Fling - Plant the Planters, a two-part volunteer event that brings beauty and life to Hartford’s streets.
Join us at the KNOX Headquarters on Saturday, May 2, 2026, for Day 2 of Spring Fling - Plant the Planters!
KNOX proudly creates and maintains the oversized flowering planters that brighten Hartford each year, and we need your help to bring this year’s blooms to life.
During this event, the plants will be arranged in the planters. You’re welcome to join us for one or both days—no commitment required!
After the transplanting, volunteers can tackle additional projects around the KNOX property, from cleanup to creative painting, as we prepare for the growing season.
What to Know:
- Rain or Shine: We’ll be working primarily in the greenhouse.
- Wear comfortable layers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Bathrooms, water, and light snacks will be provided.
- Open to all, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
